How search delisting works
We find what is indexed

Two requests, not one
The takedown goes to the host and the delisting goes to Google and Bing. They are separate processes and either can work when the other stalls.

The host and the search engine are two separate fights
A takedown asks the website to delete the page. A delisting asks Google and Bing to stop showing it. Services that only do the first leave you waiting on whoever runs a leak site, and some of them never reply to anything. Running both at once means a site that ignores you completely still loses the traffic that made your content worth stealing, and the page stops appearing to anybody searching your name.
Search removal questions
Does removing it from Google delete it from the website?
No, and anybody telling you otherwise is selling something. Delisting removes the page from search results, so people stop finding it. The content still sits on the site until the host takes it down, which is why we do both: the takedown to the host and the delisting to the search engines.
Is delisting worth it if the site ignores the takedown?
That is exactly when it is worth most. Plenty of leak sites never answer a notice, but they do not control Google. Removing the page from search is often the difference between a leak nobody finds and a leak that comes up when somebody searches your name.
How long does Google take?
Usually days rather than weeks, and faster than most hosts. Google email a confirmation naming the URLs they have removed, and that gets recorded against your case automatically, so you are not guessing.
Will my real name be on the request?
No. We file as your authorised agent under Creator Lighthouse Ltd. This matters more here than almost anywhere else, because search removal requests can be published to transparency databases, which are public and permanent.
